Until September 13, 2015, the Pinacothèque de Paris puts the art of graffiti on canvas in the spotlight, thanks to the exhibition " Pressureism 1970 -1990 ».
It is so much a part of our daily lives that we don't even see it anymore! And yet graffiti is indeed part of the history of Art. The Pinacothèque is also rehabilitating this means of expression born in the street, on the occasion of a colorful exhibition to be discovered until September 13, 2015.
"Pressionism 1970 – 1990, masterpieces of graffiti on canvas from Basquiat to Bando" presents not Street Art as we know it, but many paintings by masters who have been exhibited in galleries for decades particularly creative. Among the big names in graffiti on canvas, we find famous artists like Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat, both approached by a certain Andy Warhol…
Art lovers of all kinds or simply curious, go to the Pinacothèque which has brought together nearly a hundred works to highlight the hidden history of a movement that arrived in France in 1984, under the impulse of Bando who devoted himself to it in his private mansion of Saint-Germain des Près.
