Decor brought up to date, new menu by a new chef... A true Parisian institution since 1862, Le Café full Paix has been able to renew itself with grace and is more than ever in tune with the times.

Throne at the foot of the Opera Garnier for more than 150 years, Le Café full Paix crosses the generations without taking a wrinkle.

sumptuously renovated in 2003, this mythical place which has seen the greatest writers, singers, actors and politicians pass through its walls, has lost none of its splendor of yesteryear. With its golden columns, Its trim, Its frescoes, lamps and other Second Empire style gilding, the Belle Époque spirit still reigns supreme in the vast dining room!

In the middle of this superb historic setting, we enjoy a cuisine focused on the work of seasonal products, supplied by quality producers. the Chef Laurent Andre, arrived at the house in October 2016, began by reworking the gastronomic menu, lightening it and bringing up to date mythical dishes such as foie gras, tartare, sole and onion gratin.

This native of the Jura, who cut his teeth at Alain Chapel and Alain Ducasse, was inspired by world cuisine through his various travels (Japan, London, Hong Kong…) to concoct a international menu. Parisian-style choux pastry gnocchi, frog legs cooked in parsley butter, Aubrac beef tartare, steamed pollack steak, or scallop carpaccio on celery remoulade to die for, the result mixes tradition and modernity in plates of character, colorful and full of freshness.

The bird appetites may turn to green beans in a crunchy salad, served with medallions of European lobster and sliced button mushrooms, mimosa eggs with king crab or red quinoa tabbouleh. A tasty and authentic cuisine which does not leave Olivier Rousteing and Natalia Vodianova indifferent… to name but a few!

The Café de la Paix is a unique and charming place, to live and feel all the elegance of Parisian life, simply…
