Nestled in a XNUMXth century private mansion, the YNDŌ hotel stands out for its completely unique style and its warm atmosphere... A real cocoon of comfort in which to stay.

The story…

Already manager of a brasserie and two hotels facing the ocean in Biarritz, Agnes Guiot still felt the irrepressible urge to create a new establishment. That's good, the end of the 2000s marked a turning point for Bordeaux which becomes a World Heritage City ofUNESCO. The eyes of the whole world are then turned towards the majestic Gascony.

Faced with this growing enthusiasm, Agnès – who studied there – decides to pop into the port city. She has an appointment for her first visit at 108 rue de l'Abbé de l'Épée and absolutely did not expect to have a heart stroke immediate for this XNUMXth century mansion and yet, the magic works and the facts are there! The pretty adventure YNDŌ (to be pronounced 'INDO') begins.

A 5-star hotel with 12 rooms

During several years of work, Agnès revamped this magnificent house in which she feels good, and the metamorphosis into a 5-star hotel with 12 rooms, all unique.
The designer prepares, matures every nook and cranny of the place until 2014, the year the YNDŌ Hotel finally opened its doors. The bet is successful, the 5 stars is a jewel warm, elegant and relaxed where thehospitality is established as an art of living.

YNDŌ is an innovative hotel concept, the " GENELUX », a contraction of generosity and luxury, which Agnès cannot imagine going together. It is in this spirit that it has achieved the perfect balance between impeccable service, which restores its letters of nobility to hotels of this standing, and conviviality, a direct, refined human relationship, without condescension.

A unique, resolutely designer decor

Velvet sofas, artisanal ceramics or other poetic consoles... At the YNDŌ hotel, the decoration of the common areas as well as the rooms is just right breathtaking. And it is signed by the owner herself!
Pure self-educated of interior architecture and design, Agnès has a innate talent to apprehend a space and its potential for transformation. That's exactly what happened when she discovered the family home that would become the YNDŌ Hotel.

High-end layout of bathrooms and very sharp choice furniture, which gives it the air of a design gallery, its touch can be found in every corner of the establishment and its Jardin des Senteurs. Each piece of furniture, each object and each work of art has been hunted down by Agnès, revealing her refined and innovative taste. The materials are noble, soft, everything is round in shape, giving a very welcoming side... We are amazed and we want to touch everything!

An intimate atmosphere 'like at home'

Agnès thought of the establishment as a pretty residence that a client can appropriate without difficulty. Indeed, this one does not offer a simple room to stay in his corner but well a whole universe, a big house warm for him ! Here, it is 'like at home' and for good reason! Every detail is personalized by the teams. Agnès makes a point of welcoming her guests herself, she spends time with them, guesses their expectations… Often, she's the one who cooks! She then offers a gourmet cuisine of seasonal products, from the “homemade” market. The delicious jam for breakfast, she makes it!

If the close link with the customer is very strong here, the YNDŌ hotel remains a confidential address since a person outside the hotel cannot afford to stroll here to visit the places or to have a drink.

Since its creation, this cocoon of sweetness has always attracted more and more visitors from all over the world, in search of a bit of GENELUX... Regulars sometimes sneak the address under the cloak, while dreaming of preserving this little Bordeaux paradise just for them.

And for nature lovers, direction…
The YNDŌ Hut in Cap Ferret

For those who wish to stay closer to the nature, Agnès Guiot very recently opened a Cabane in the heart of the Piraillan oyster port in Cap Ferret.
If at first glance, it looks like a typical fisherman's hut, once you cross the threshold... it's not! Decorated with the recognizable touch of Agnès, we marvel at the clever mix of materials (wood, ceramic, velvet) of pastel colors and meticulously selected objects, sprinkled here and there such as sumptuous ceramics or portraits of fish, signed by a local painter.

Adorned with natural and sanded colours, the magnificent living room overlooks an open kitchen while the bedroom adjoins the bathroom – also open - and his sculptural tub in tin.

With its soft and soothing atmosphere, this designer cocoon promotes a certain 'slow life', a very special art of living that lovers of Cap Ferret will not find anywhere else...

No doubt, the Yndo hut appears as the new confidential setting, which invites you to an authentic parenthesis out of time.
