The Christmas counter of Ritz Paris

If the Ritz's Christmas Chalet had amazed us last winter, and we're doing it again this year since the famous palace has just inaugurated its 'Christmas counter', just in front of its entrance on the mythical Place Vendôme. On the program: a moment of pure gluttony during which you can enjoy the hot chocolate signature of the Ritz Paris – a 70% Venezuela with incomparable creaminess – accompanied by the chef’s delicious pastries Francois Perret. Brioche Switzerland, christmas gingerbread, crispy chocolate bar, Florentine shortbread, chocolate bear stamped Ritz Paris, chestnut punnet or the famous marble cake which made the chef famous… One thing is certain, the menu will delight the greatest gourmands. And the decor imagined by the palace is no less magical with the presence of a gigantic 2 meter illuminated bear (super instagrammable, we grant you…) enthroned in the middle of the fir trees.

The Ritz Paris Christmas Counter, 15 Place Vendôme, 75001 Paris. From December 12 to January 7, 2021 from 14 p.m. to 19 p.m. Individual pastries €9, 'So Ritzy' formula at €16 including hot chocolate + a pastry.

It must be said, for this grand premiere, the palace did not do things small. In addition to travel cakes, cakes (the famous marble cake, chestnut cake and Gianduja chocolate cake, etc.) and individual pastries sold at €9, we also discover truffled savory dishes by Eric Fréchon, Living Breads prepared on site as well as a selection of wines and champagnes handpicked by the palace sommeliers. The Christmas Pop Up of George V

On the side of the George V, the magic of Christmas also operated since the pastry chef Michael Bartocetti just unveiled his Christmas Pop-Up !
This ephemeral boutique dedicated to gourmet pleasures was imagined in collaboration with Eric Beaumard, vice-best sommelier in the world and director of the restaurant Le Cinq. On site, you can taste the chef's iconic creations such as the cinnamon roll and the inimitable brioche with pink pralines. Also on the menu of delicacies, cookies, chocolate puff pastries as well as sweets with Italian flavors, imagined by chef Simone Zanomi, such as the iconic Panettone or amor polenta, a specialty of Lombardy… If you want to discover the magical settings of the George V while giving yourself a gourmet break, a detour to the Christmas Pop Up is a must!

The Brach pastry counter

Right in the heart of 16e district, Brach has also decided to put on its finery, as Christmas approaches. Thus, the hotel of the group evok offers the delicious pastries of Chef Yann Brys, within a beautiful counter located in the restaurant of the establishment. This warm spot contains the various creations of the Meilleur Ouvrier de France: lemon meringue tart, revisited tiramisu, Mont-Blanc, chocolate cake without forgetting the famous Yule log – tree-shaped – as well as those of the other hotels of the Evok group, in particular that of the Nolinski. The Ralph's Coffee Truck

If last year, the Ralph's truck was exported to the entrance of the Galeries Lafayette Homme store, this year it has wisely remained home, at 173 Boulevard Saint-Germain. During your Christmas shopping, you can drop by and order a good hot chocolate, an espresso or even a steaming cappuccino. To accompany these hot drinks, the Ralph's Coffee Truck also offers delicacies (American, of course) such as cookies, a cheesecake, a fondant brownie or a delicious carrot cake. Be careful, the little vintage truck will disappear at the same time as the arrival of Santa Claus so don't delay if you want to find out!

Ralph's Coffee Truck, every day, from 11 a.m. to 19 p.m., until December 24, 2020. 173 Boulevard Saint-Germain, 75006 Paris.
