Immerse yourself in the world of Chagall at the Atelier des Lumières

A prolific and unclassifiable painter, Marc Chagall will be honored at the Atelier des Lumières as part of the new immersive exhibition “Chagall, Paris – New York” which will present his entire creation, revealing works never presented before and at the crossroads of artistic and cultural novelties of his century…

Paris and New York, emblematic capitals of modern art, represent two crucial stages in the long trajectory of the artist. Paris was his city of choice, offering, thanks to the avant-gardes of the 1910s, a breeding ground for experimental research to the young painter of Russian origin, who nourished them with his own cultural references. New York was first and foremost a place of exile in the difficult 1940s, which nevertheless gave new impetus to the artist's creativity.

In parallel with the short program, Paul Klee will deploy his colorful and poetic works for about ten minutes. Son of a pianist violinist and a singer, he himself became a great violinist. Throughout his life, music would animate his paintings and be part of his creative process. The digital exhibition pays homage to Klee's two passions and reveals the pictorial ranges of his works. To be discovered this weekend.
