After a childhood spent in the Vosges, Nicolas Maimbourg decided to make his life in Paris. Passionate about the city of light, and the hotel industry, he quickly excelled in the field. A hotel concierge since a very young age, he is now the “Clef d'Or” head concierge at Montalembert in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. Always up to date with the latest and trendiest addresses in the capital. Nicolas Maimbourg chose Paris Select to give his best Parisian addresses.

A typical Parisian brasserie?

The Vagenende – 142 Boulevard Saint-Germain, 75006 Paris

A beautiful brasserie from the Belle Epoque (1904) listed monuments. Located on the Blvd Saint Germain with a good traditional kitchen and beautiful trays of sea ​​food. 

A trendy restaurant?

 Coya – 83-85 Rue du Bac, 75007 Paris

Restaurant located in an old church with a mainly Peruvian cuisinepunctuated with asian flavors and colorful South American decor. Their terrace located in an east courtyard pleasant in summer.

An unmissable gastronomic restaurant?

David Allain – 29 Rue Surcouf, 75007 Paris

In his little restaurant 20 seats located in a small street of the 7th with a sober and contemporary decoration, this chef offers a very original kitchen with a strong commitment to biodiversity. He was awarded witha green star by the Michelin Guide for his commitment as well as two Michelin stars.

A few streets in the district of Saint-Germain-des-Prés : Seine Street, rue des Beaux-arts, rue Jacob and part of Mazarin Street.  

A very interesting little contemporary art gallery in the Jacob Street : the Geraldine Banier gallery. This gallery offers his discoveries at several exhibitions throughout the year.

Its perfumes give the possibility to perfume artists to create perfumes of a great originality. 


Other really unusual spots to recommend? 

Furstenberg Square

One of the smallest squares in Paris with a lot of charm: Place Furstenberg.  For Street Art lovers, pay a visit to the 13eme arrondissement from Paris. For young and old children: the art museum showmen at Bercy. For hikers: The GR75 offers the whole city tour with many places to discover. 


Traps to avoid: 

Restaurants around rue de la Huchette and Place du Tertre : real tourist traps.

Chef Pascal Guillaumin has been offering seasonal cuisine for many years very focused on lare vegetables : a vegetarian will find there his happiness. His stuffed cabbage is the best in Paris.
