What to do in Paris this weekend (April 14-16)?

You can wait all week for this little break, but once the weekend arrives – like everyone else – you can't find any original ideas to occupy these days off. That's good, Paris Select has scoured the Parisian news to offer you the crème de la crème of fun and unusual activities. Here is a nice little program for this weekend.

Plants For All 

Ce Friday 14 and Saturday 15 April, you will have the opportunity to purchase a multitude of plants at low prices during the big sale Plants for All. You will have the choice between 150 species (Monstera, Pilea, Ficus, Calathea) and even large rare plants. All the selection comes from directly from producers for maximum freshness. For the apprentice gardeners (or seasoned) many accessories will also be offered (shovel, pots, planters). And for gourmands, a small treats corner will be open (pastries, cakes, coffee, tea, hot drinks etc.)

Discover the brand new Gruppomo

In just one year, Gruppomimo came to shake the scene of the Italian-Parisian restoration by his kitchen extra comfort food and its quirky universe, sauce Edouard Hausseguy and Benoît Bossu. With 5 restaurants under their belt, they have now decided to open their 6th in the heart of Paris, in the second district. On the menu, we find Neapolitan pizzas homemade and baked with love or risotto recipes and pasta prepared in a wheel of parmesan. In each of the restaurants, the decoration is unique and everything is there to pass an unforgettable moment.

The Great Parade of the Jardin d'Acclimatation 

Le Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 April will take place the grand parade at the Jardin d'Acclimatation. On the program, dancers, artists, musicians, mascots and acrobats will stroll through the paths of the park between the attractions and the children. Everything will be done in music and in good humor ! This show is the perfect opportunity to spend time with your children which will please even the little ones.

Celebrate Independent Bookstore Day 

This Saturday, April 15, will take place in all of France the 25st edition of the Independent Bookstore Festival. For the occasion, more than 500 bookstores will offer their visitors a book and a rose. For this 2023 edition, a special book entitled Plume was produced and only 25 copies printed. This book brings together 25 beautiful feathers who will portray a bird including Laura Vazquez, Emmanuel Venet, Stéphane Audeguy, Joël Baqué and Bertrand Belin. 

Reopening of the Serres d'Auteuil Garden

If you still don't know what to do this weekend, Paris Select gives you an appointment in the Garden of the Serres d'Auteuil. Closed to the public during the winter, they reopen their doors exceptionally this weekend from April 15 to 16. In this heated greenhouse you can stroll between the tropical plants and exotic flowers. Animations, conferences, guided tours and even clothing workshops will even be planned for children or for the most curious.

Have a drink in the Petit Palais Garden

Envy of you relax with a good hot chocolate or a cocktail at the end of the day? Opt for the terrace of the garden of the Petit Palais. This offers a contemporary and warm decor opening onto the interior garden. In fine weather, take advantage of its terrace, sheltered under the peristyle decorated with mosaics and paintings. The Garden of the Petit Palais offers continuous service from 10 a.m. to 17 p.m. and 15 p.m. on Friday and Saturday The place is ideal to enjoy the capital without its noise pollution. This green will make you feel like on vacation.

Spend a day under the sign of Japan
