The Traversée de Paris in vintage cars returns on July 20, 2025: 700 vehicles expected in the capital
On July 20, 2025, the Traversée de Paris estivale celebrates its 18th edition. An immersion in the history of the automobile in the heart of Paris.
Classic car enthusiasts, get ready for another timeless trip. The Traversée de Paris estivale, organized by Vincennes en Anciennes, returns this Sunday, July 20, 2025 for its 18th edition. Every year, this event, which has become a cult fixture on the Parisian landscape, brings together over 700 vintage vehicles: cars, motorcycles, trucks, bicycles and even vintage buses.
Departing at dawn from the Château de Vincennes, the procession will cross the capital following an itinerary revealed on the day via a road book. This deliberately “secret” format invites the curious to take up residence along the route to catch a glimpse of exceptional models, some rare, some mythical.
A celebration of mechanics and memory
From the Citroën Traction to the first Renault 4CVs, from Mustang convertibles to Peugeot 404s, this journey is also a lesson in rolling history. Each vehicle is a living testimony to an era, a design, a technology. For connoisseurs and the simply curious alike, it’s an original way to rediscover Paris from a different angle.
For this 2025 edition, vehicles from the 20s to the 90s will be in the spotlight. It’s still possible to register your vehicle to take part in the procession. And for spectators wishing to enjoy the experience from the inside, it’s also possible to reserve a seat in a vintage bus, which will be part of the crossing.
A convivial finale on the green
After the urban stroll, participants will gather, as they do every year, for a giant picnic at a location kept secret until the last moment. A moment of sharing and exchange, in keeping with the warm spirit of the event.
