Two centuries later, the Musée d'Orsay returns to the genesis of this invention which changed the world forever… So, finally the cinema! Arts, Images and Performances in France (1833-1907) is a celebration of cinema as a cultural phenomenon in the context of older art forms and the modes of cultural representation and imagination from which cinema emerged. The exhibition brings together nearly 300 films, photographs, drawings, paintings and sculptures.
