Paris Select had the honor of meeting Thibault de Saint Vincent, founder and chairman of the Barnes Group, a key player in the high-end real estate market. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Paris Select: Why did you decide to enter the hospitality business with Maison Boissi\u00e8re?<\/h2>\n\n

Thibault de Saint Vincent: <\/strong>We recently launched our hospitality business.\nWhy do you ask?\nTo create a lasting, high-quality relationship with our customers, in places that we tailor-make for them.\n Maison Boissi\u00e8re<\/strong> is a perfect example. Maison Boissi\u00e8re<\/a>, located near the Trocad\u00e9ro<\/strong>, now offers 16 apartments<\/strong> with 5-star<\/strong> hotel services.\nThese are apartments, not rooms.\nThese apartments are decorated like houses, with all the necessary services.\nThese include housekeeping, a fully equipped kitchen<\/strong>, and a choice of 7 in-home chefs<\/strong>.\nThese chefs offer a variety of cuisines.\nYou can also entertain guests in the apartments, in the garden or in the common areas of the buildings. <\/p>\n\n

PS: Why did you choose to locate Maison Boissi\u00e8re in the 16th arrondissement, near the Trocadero?<\/h2>\n\n

TSV<\/strong> :<\/strong> The Trocad\u00e9ro has the advantage of a privileged location<\/strong>, attracting both French and international clientele.<\/strong> It’s close to many points of interest, including the Eiffel Tower<\/a>, the Left Bank districts and the Place de l’\u00c9toile.\nIt’s a highly sought-after area where we have several offices close by<\/strong>, enabling us to welcome our customers interested in buying or renting property in Paris.\nIt’s also an ideal location for “digital nomads<\/em>“<\/strong>.\nThis growing population regularly moves between major cities such as London<\/strong>, Paris<\/strong> and Dubai<\/strong>.\nThese customers, often on the move for medium-term stays<\/strong>, find here an ideal pied-\u00e0-terre for stays of a week or more. <\/p>\n\n

PS: You worked with architects and decorators Philippe Daraux, Manon Mallac Koenig and Pierre Frey. What atmosphere did you want to create at Maison Boissi\u00e8re? <\/h2>\n\n

TSV:<\/strong> The idea was to create a confidential space<\/strong>.\nA space where family and friends could be received in complete tranquillity.\nThe choice of location was therefore crucial: two 1930s<\/strong> buildings surrounding a garden, offering a little cocoon of greenery<\/strong> and calm.\nThis was the first thing we wanted to offer our customers.\nThen, for the decor, we opted for a warm<\/strong> and welcoming<\/strong> atmosphere.\nIn collaboration with Manon Mallac Koenig<\/strong>, we designed a space that feels like home<\/strong>, with lots of fabrics, colors and elements that create a comfortable and familiar atmosphere. <\/p>\n\n

PS: How does Maison Boissi\u00e8re make customers feel“at home<\/em>“?<\/h2>\n\n

TSV:<\/strong> The aspect that reinforces this feeling of “home”<\/em><\/strong> is the creation of dressing trunks<\/strong>.\nWhen customers leave, they can leave their suits, shirts, toiletries and even a few family photos.\nOn his next visit, everything will be reinstalled just as he left it.\n Barnes<\/strong> has an extensive file of several hundred thousand customers<\/strong>, around 20% of whom are international.\nWe presented this trunk-dressing offer to these customers, and many of them expressed interest.\nThey’re looking for something more personalized than a<\/strong> standard hotel room<\/strong> or service apartment. <\/p>\n\n

PS: You recently opened in New York. How did you get on? <\/h2>\n\n
\"Thibault<\/figure>\n\n

TSV:<\/strong> In New York, we opened a new concept called Maison Barnes<\/a>.\nIt’s more focused on the experience, with two restaurants, a bar and numerous private lounges dedicated to events around the French art of living.\nWe recently opened a magnificent 1500 m\u00b2 space on Park Avenue<\/strong>, in partnership with Michelin-starred chef Daniel Bouju<\/strong>.\nThe decor, by St\u00e9phane Henrico and Ateliers de Ricou, is also inspired by the style of the 1930s, with references to Gustave Eiffel<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

We’re planning a number of events focusing on French know-how and passion sports such as golf, hunting, jumping, polo and yachting<\/strong>.\nFor example, Nicolas Colsaerts<\/strong>, one of the world’s top 20 golfers, will come and play a game of virtual golf with our customers, followed by a lunch or dinner where they can chat with him.\nWe will also be organizing a private concert with a Stradivarius<\/strong> in October, where we will present this exceptional instrument to our customers. <\/p>\n\n

PS: How have you managed to create and maintain privileged relationships with wealthy customers?<\/h2>\n\n

TSV:<\/strong> We’ve always maintained a special relationship with our customers through a number of events<\/strong>.\nThese have often been organized with renowned partners, often luxury houses.\nFor example, we have worked with Chanel<\/strong>, Cartier<\/strong> and many LVMH brands.<\/a> <\/strong>for exclusive events.\nWhen we organize events around the art of living, we put forward people representing various fields related to this art of living<\/strong>.\nThese encounters are numerous, as 70% of our customers, known as ultra-high-net-worth individuals<\/em>, are wealthy families<\/strong>, the majority of whom are entrepreneurs.\nThese entrepreneurs are often fascinating people, with rich stories to tell<\/strong>.\nWe illustrate these encounters in our Barnes magazines<\/strong>, published twice a year.\nEach issue features the cover story of a visionary luxury entrepreneur we’ve met, either as a partner or a customer. <\/p>\n\n
