Alexis Hanquinquant<\/strong>, Nantenin Keita<\/strong>, Charles-Antoine Kouakou<\/strong>, \u00c9lodie Lorandi<\/strong> as well as Fabien Lamirault<\/strong> lit the Olympic cauldron to launch the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games<\/a>.\nIn a procession to the Jardin des Tuileries<\/strong>, reminiscent of that of Teddy Riner and Marie-Jos\u00e9 P\u00e9rec at the Paris 2024 Olympics, these 5 athletes lit up the Parisian sky. The torch relay ended on Wednesday August 28 at La Concorde<\/strong>.\nHere, the Paralympic cauldron rose majestically, perfectly aligned with the Ob\u00e9lisque, the Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es and the Arc de Triomphe! <\/p>\n\n

For the first time in the history of the Olympic Games, the flame that lights up the skies over Paris is entirely fuel-free.\nIndeed, there is no real flame<\/strong>.\nInstead, an innovative system based on water and light, designed by EDF, creates the perfect illusion of fire.\nThis “100% electric”<\/strong> system is part of EDF’s commitment to offering an ecologically responsible Olympic Games.\nAll this, while avoiding the use of fossil fuels<\/strong> and promoting a<\/strong> sober and sustainable energy approach<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Sports and culture enthusiasts alike have the unique opportunity to admire the Olympic cauldron in the Jardin des Tuileries<\/strong>.\nThis historic site in the heart of Paris is close to the Louvre Museum.\nAccess is free, but you’ll need to reserve a time slot online.\nIndeed, for safety reasons and to guarantee a pleasant experience for all visitors, access to the cauldron is regulated by 15-minute time slots<\/strong>, available from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

To book, simply visit the official event website: lavasque.paris2024.org<\/a>.\nFill in a simple form with your full name and e-mail address.\nOnce you’ve done this, you’ll receive a<\/strong> one-time use QR code<\/strong>.\nIt will give you access to the Jardin des Tuileries to see the Olympic cauldron up close.\nPlease note that places are limited to 10,000 per day<\/strong>, and reservations are taking up…\nSo book early! <\/p>\n\n

For those who couldn’t get a ticket,it<\/strong>‘s still possible toadmire the cauldron from afar<\/strong>.\nEvery day, from 7 p.m. onwards, the cauldron rises into the sky.\nIt offers a breathtaking view to visitors and passers-by alike.\nThis movement, inspired by the Montgolfier brothers<\/strong>, is a technical feat.\nIt is entirely electrically powered, in keeping with the ecological commitment of the Paris 2024 Games. <\/p>\n\n
