The Salon des Beaux-Arts 2024, which celebrates its 160\u1d49 anniversary at the R\u00e9fectoire des Cordeliers in Paris, will feature exceptional artists, including Birgitta Arts, a designer whose work on paper seduced our editorial team.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

An international artistic career<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Born in the Netherlands in 1964, Birgitta Arts grew up in a variety of cultural environments, between Morocco, Mexico and Chile. After a career as a graphic designer in New York, it was at the School of Visual Arts that she discovered printmaking, a decisive turning point in her career. Since 2007, she has devoted her work to the creation of monotypes, a printing technique, before diversifying her practice by creating works directly on paper without the intervention of the press. <\/p>\n\n
