Franco-Belgian designer Matthieu Blazy will take over the creative reins at Chanel in spring 2025.<\/strong> He<\/strong> will succeed Virginie Viard. This announcement puts an end to several months of speculation surrounding this key position in the fashion industry. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

A prestigious appointment<\/h2>\n\n

Matthieu Blazy, 40, is renowned for his bold vision and talent. A graduate of the \u00c9cole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure des Arts Visuels de La Cambre, he got his start at Raf Simons before working for prestigious houses such as Maison Martin Margiela and Celine. Since 2020, he had been head of design at Bottega Veneta, where he was appointed artistic director in November 2021<\/em>. Under his leadership, the Italian brand has succeeded in combining discreet luxury and emotion, while maintaining its growth in a complex economic context. <\/p>\n\n
