Located in the heart of the Latin Quarter, the Caveau de la Huchette<\/strong> has embodied the history of jazz in Paris since 1946<\/strong>. Its walls have seen some of the greatest names, from Sidney Bechet<\/strong> to Lionel Hampton<\/strong>, come and go, while welcoming a cosmopolitan public to dance and listen to talented musicians. <\/p>\n\n

Far from being a simple club, this place is steeped in history. Before becoming a music venue, over the centuries it hosted secret meetings of the Knights Templar<\/strong> and the Freemasons<\/strong>, and was nicknamed the “Caveau de la Terreur”. But today, it’s jazz that makes its vaults vibrate. Fans will find here the atmosphere of legendary clubs such as the Cotton Club<\/strong> in New York, and the venue even inspired Alan Sytner<\/strong> to create the famous “The Cavern Club” in Liverpool. <\/p>\n\n
