The 97th Academy Awards ceremony, scheduled for March 5, 2025<\/em> at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, unveils some spectacular nominations, featuring films and talent from the year’s biggest cinematic successes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Fierce competition<\/h2>\n\n

Among the favorites, Jacques Audiard’s Emilia P\u00e9rez<\/em> made history with 13 nominations<\/em>, a record for a French film. This critically acclaimed melodrama is a serious contender. Sean Baker’s Anora<\/em>, winner of the Palme d’Or at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, is also in the running, with six nominations<\/em>. As for Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist<\/em>, starring Adrien Brody, it is building on the success of the Golden Globes to claim several awards. <\/p>\n\n
