After the triumph of Parasite<\/em>, Bong Joon Ho returns with a daring science-fiction project: Mickey 17<\/em>. This cosmic thriller, adapted from Edward Ashton’s novel Mickey7<\/em>, promises a biting reflection on ethics and human survival. Scheduled for release on March 7, 2025<\/em>, the film stars Robert Pattinson, whose performance promises to be captivating. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

A captivating storyline<\/h2>\n\n

Mickey 17<\/em> explores the suicidal missions of a “consumable”, a human employee cloned at will to perform the most dangerous tasks on an expedition to colonize an icy planet, Niflheim<\/strong>. With each death, Mickey is regenerated with his memory virtually intact. But everything changes when he returns from a presumed fatal mission to find his clone, Mickey8, already in operation. The film takes this idea a step further by introducing 17 versions of the protagonist, played by Pattinson, amplifying the emotional and philosophical stakes. <\/p>\n\n
