Founded in 1971 by Pierre and Genevi\u00e8ve Argillet, it has established itself as a major player in the distribution and publication of surrealist works. More than fifty years after its creation, it continues to bring to life the genius of the great masters of the 20th century. <\/strong>. The Furstenberg Gallery<\/strong> ‘s reputation is due in no small part to its unique association with Salvador Dal\u00ed<\/strong>. The story of the Argillet couple and the master of Surrealism<\/strong> began in 1959<\/strong>. Pierre Argillet<\/strong>, collector and publisher, began a 25-year artistic collaboration with Dal\u00ed<\/strong>. This relationship produced over 150 original<\/strong> copper engravings<\/strong>. Today, they are major works of modern art. <\/p>\n\n

One of the most ambitious projects of this collaboration is the “Mythologie” series<\/strong>. A collection of 16 copper engravings<\/strong>, produced between 1963 and 1967<\/strong>. Each print bears witness to Dal\u00ed’s whimsical, visionary take<\/strong> on mythological tales. He pushes the limits of symbolism and the imaginary. <\/p>\n\n
