A strong message against nationalism and the quest for power<\/h2>\n\n

Renowned Italian designer Giorgio Armani doesn’t just design elegant silhouettes; he also uses his voice to defend the values he holds dear. In an open letter published in the Italian daily La Repubblica<\/em>, he shares his concern about current international tensions. For him, the rise of nationalism and the thirst for power can only lead to destruction<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Marked by the horrors of war from an early age, Armani warns of a possible downward spiral leading to large-scale conflict. ” Today, as international tensions threaten to degenerate into a far more serious conflict, it is more urgent than ever to restore cooperation and defend democracy against any attack<\/em>,” he writes. He openly criticizes nationalist movements, which he believes weaken rather than strengthen Europe. <\/p>\n\n

A strong Europe requires unity<\/h2>\n\n

Although his observations are alarming, the 90-year-old couturier is not pessimistic.
