Few places in Paris manage to marry gastronomy, design and atmosphere with such elegance. Monsieur Bleu (paradoxically green), Paris Society’s flagship restaurant, is positioned as an aesthetic and gourmet enclave in the heart of the Palais de Tokyo<\/em>. Although the place has been renowned since it opened in the spring of 2013<\/em>, it’s above all the weekend brunch that has foodies buzzing… provided you know about it. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

A set designed as a work of art<\/h2>\n\n

Upon entering, the effect is immediate: the eye is drawn to<\/strong> the dizzyingly high ceilings (10 meters), bronze walls<\/strong>, Sixties-style furniture<\/strong> and decorative elements<\/strong> blending Art Deco and minimalist modernity. All orchestrated by architect Joseph Dirand<\/strong>, whose inspiration is drawn from the works ofYves Klein<\/em> andAdolf Loos<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n

The furniture, from Saarinen chairs<\/strong> to acid velvet<\/strong>, is part of a subtle palette that evokes the glamour of the 1930s, revisited with a contemporary eye. High-reliefs by Lalique<\/strong> on the walls reinforce the museum-like feel of the space. But there’s no austerity here: the atmosphere remains convivial<\/strong>, halfway between chic brasserie<\/strong> and arty Parisian club<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n
