A youth marked by exile and discipline<\/h2>\n\n

Irina Lazareanu was born in 1982<\/em> in Ploie\u0219ti, Romania. At a very young age, she left the country with her family, fleeing the dictatorship. They settled in Montreal, where she discovered a new culture. A dreamy but disciplined child, Irina immersed herself in classical dance. <\/p>\n\n

At 13,<\/em> she joined London’s prestigious Royal Ballet School. The rigor of ballet forged her posture, her gait and her strength. However, an injury forced her to give up dancing. A meteoric rise thanks to Kate Moss<\/h2>\n\n

It was in London clubs that she met Pete Doherty, a troubled figure in British rock. Their affair became a cult affair. But it was above all her meeting with Kate Moss<\/strong> that turned her life around. Moss took her under her wing. In 2005<\/em>, she propelled her into Vogue Paris<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n
