When physics becomes poetry, Jaeger-LeCoultre reinvents the myth of perpetual motion with a clock as fascinating as it is iconic. Unveiled at Milan Design Week 2025, the limited-edition Atmos Infinite Halo enhances a masterpiece of design and ingenuity. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

A clock that lives… literally on the spirit of the times<\/h2>\n\n

Conceived in 1928<\/em> by inventor Jean-L\u00e9on Reutter, theAtmos<\/strong> is distinguished by a mechanism as unlikely as it is visionary: its operation relies neither on batteries nor manual winding, but on infinitesimal variations in ambient temperature<\/strong>. A difference of just one degree Celsius is enough to guarantee 48 hours of power reserve<\/em>. The principle is based on a hermetically sealed gas-filled capsule connected to the mainspring: as the temperature changes, the capsule expands or contracts, driving the clock with constant precision. <\/p>\n\n

Atmos Infinite Halo: pure, uncompromising design<\/h2>\n\n

The new Infinite Halo<\/strong> version is part of this quest forwatchmaking purity<\/strong>. Limited to just 100 pieces<\/strong>, this model unveils a white lacquered dial<\/strong>, a veritable feat of craftsmanship requiring ten successive coats of lacquer, millimetric drying, then perfect polishing and varnishing. This immaculate white subtly contrasts with the internal mechanics, visible beneath a cylindrical glass globe reminiscent of the first Atmos in Art Deco design. <\/p>\n\n
