Unveiled on June 9, 2025<\/em>, Nevold<\/strong> – a contraction of never old<\/em> – is an independent B2B entity<\/strong> that complements Chanel<\/a>‘s fashion and M\u00e9tiers d’Art activities. It formalizes years of in-house experimentation around the reuse of tweed, leather and textile scraps. <\/p>\n\n

Hybrid materials for the luxury market<\/h2>\n\n

Nevold manufactures hybrid materials<\/strong> combining recycled and new fibers, without sacrificing quality: slingback heels and certain bag reinforcements already contain recycled leather. Currently, 30%<\/em> of Chanel bags and 50% of<\/em> Chanel shoes feature these recycled components. <\/p>\n\n

An open, collaborative hub<\/h2>\n\n

Under the direction of engineer Sophie Brocart<\/strong>, formerly of Patou, Nevold functions as a true collaborative hub<\/strong>. It brings together partners such as L’Atelier des Mati\u00e8res<\/strong>, Filatures du Parc<\/em>, Authentic Material<\/em> and maintains academic collaborations (Cambridge University, Politecnico di Milano). <\/p>\n\n

Strategic and sustainable objectives<\/h2>\n\n

Nevold responds to two urgent needs: the growing scarcity of raw materials<\/strong> such as cotton, silk and cashmere, which account for 80% of the volumes used, and environmental imperatives, in particular the reduction of Scope 3 emissions and compliance with European regulations.<\/p>\n\n
