NAMI: a Japanese wave in the Marais<\/h2>\n\n

Freshly opened in May 2025<\/em>, NAMI<\/strong> means \u201cwave\u201d in Japanese – and the name is no coincidence. Located at 145 rue Saint-Denis<\/strong>, at the entrance to the Passage du Grand-Cerf, the place invites you to travel back to the Tokyo of the 70s<\/strong>. You enter as if into a hushed memory: subdued lighting, carefully sorted vinyl records and caf\u00e9 d’auteur. <\/p>\n\n

Conceived by Dani Phanekham-Baudouin<\/strong>, creator of the acclaimed Vague Coffee<\/strong>, NAMI combines Californian aesthetics<\/strong>, Australian accents<\/strong> and Japanese influences. A carefully crafted fusion, served up in a decor designed by Studio Aurios<\/strong>, combining noble materials and an intimate atmosphere. <\/p>\n\n

A chiselled menu on the borderline between tradition and modernity<\/h2>\n\n

Here, every drink is customizable<\/strong>: plant milks, homemade syrups, adapted dosage. But it’s matcha<\/strong> that’s the star of the show, in its revisited iced version, infused with strawberry or blueberry (the house favorite). <\/p>\n\n

There’s also a cutting-edge selection of Japanese teas<\/strong>, signature creations such as matcha tonic<\/strong>, and specialty coffees<\/strong> roasted by renowned artisans such as KB Coffee Roasters<\/strong>, AMOC<\/strong> and Rumbaba<\/strong>. Extractions are made with a La Marzocco<\/strong> installed by Calcaire Paris<\/strong> – a benchmark in the world of high-flying coffee machines. <\/p>\n\n

Homemade pastries in tune with the seasons<\/h2>\n\n

On the sweet side, the sweet treats are all homemade<\/strong>, with recipes that change with the seasons: white chocolate and sesame miso cookie<\/strong>, fondant mochi cake<\/strong>, or marbled black sesame cake. Desserts designed as a sensory interlude<\/strong>, to be enjoyed on site or on the terrace. <\/p>\n\n
