When a fashion house decides to dress minds as well as bodies, the result is a rare experience. With its Summer Reads project, Miu Miu celebrates literature at its most intimate, feminine and universal. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

An ode to reading in the heart of the city<\/h2>\n\n

For the second edition of Miu Miu Summer Reads<\/strong>, the Italian fashion house transforms the most beautiful urban gardens<\/strong> into open-air libraries. From June 27 to 29, 2025<\/strong>, Beijing, Hong Kong, Milan, Osaka and Paris<\/strong> become the stage for an immersive experience between words and nature. Each city is adorned with a unique visual universe<\/strong>, with symbolic colors and personalized bookplates<\/strong>, a discreet tribute to the world of books. <\/p>\n\n

Participants are invited to sit back, read and chat<\/strong> in a space designed for contemplation. At the heart of this interlude: two major 20th-century authors<\/strong>, Simone de Beauvoir<\/strong> and Fumiko Enchi<\/strong>, united by their lucid and poetic view of the female condition. <\/p>\n\n

Two powerful voices, two views of intimacy<\/h2>\n\n

Miu Miu has chosen to honor Simone de Beauvoir<\/em> \u201cs Les Ins\u00e9parables<\/strong> and Fumiko Enchi\u201d<\/em>s Femmes en attente<\/strong>, two works that still resonate today. The former evokes the thwarted friendship of two young girls in a world that stifles them. The second explores desire, submission and emancipation in post-war Japan. <\/p>\n\n

Each visitor will leave with a free copy of one of the two books<\/strong>, presented in an exclusive Miu Miu edition<\/strong> including dust jacket, bookmark, reading clip and collector’s stamp<\/strong>. An elegant and symbolic gesture, transforming the book into a precious, almost talismanic object. <\/p>\n\n

Five locations, five atmospheres<\/h2>\n\n

The dates and locations are carefully chosen to offer a geopoetics of calm and introspection<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n
