A bold initiative to be followed closely. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The name evokes sweet melancholy, the warmth of a memory. <strong>Saudade<\/strong> is also the name of a <strong>premium tequila<\/strong> coming to France with a clear ambition: to <strong>change the image of white tequila<\/strong>. Far from festive clich\u00e9s or sugary industrial bottles, this new brand aims to <strong>impose a finer, more artisanal alternative<\/strong>, at the crossroads of two cultures. <\/p>\n\n<p>Founded by <strong>five French partners<\/strong>, Saudade is based on a unique concept: <strong>a blend of the two great Mexican terroirs of Jalisco<\/strong>, the valley (more peppery) and the Los Altos highlands (rounder and more floral). The result is a <strong>balanced<\/strong>, additive-free <strong>aromatic profile<\/strong> with notes of chamomile, sweet pepper and subtle chili pepper. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">A white tequila&#8230; French?<\/h2>\n\n<p>While Saudade remains an <strong>AOC tequila<\/strong>, produced in Mexico according to the rules of the appellation, its vision is French. The artistic director is <strong>Billie Thomassin<\/strong>, photographer and film-maker, who has designed a <strong>refined, handcrafted<\/strong> bottle in <strong>recycled glass blown in Guadalajara<\/strong>, topped with a red cap evoking the setting sun. <\/p>\n\n<p>When it comes to taste, founder <strong>Alexandre Malouf<\/strong> focuses on <strong>purity<\/strong>. No trace of added flavorings: &#8220;Many brands hide behind the label &#8216;100% agave&#8217;, while incorporating up to 10% additives&#8221;, he stresses. As for Saudade, it&#8217;s all about transparency: a tequila <strong>made to be enjoyed neat<\/strong>, but also <strong>perfect for cocktails<\/strong>, especially margaritas.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">A gradual move between Monaco and Paris<\/h2>\n\n<p>With an initial batch of <strong>10,000 bottles<\/strong>, Saudade begins selective distribution. Already present in <strong>Monaco<\/strong>, notably at the <strong>Yacht<\/strong> Club, the brand is preparing an <strong>official launch in Paris in mid-September<\/strong>, with discussions underway with <strong>La Maison du Whisky<\/strong> and <strong>Nicolas<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p>Saudade is <strong>more than a spirit<\/strong>: it&#8217;s an aesthetic, sensory and contemporary universe.
