He succeeds <strong>Isabelle Huppert<\/strong>, embodying a transatlantic opening, flanked by actresses <strong>Maura Delpero<\/strong> (Italy) and <strong>Fernanda Torres<\/strong> (Brazil). The tone is set: an edition marked by the diversity of stories and viewpoints.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The opening film, <strong>Paolo Sorrentino<\/strong>&#8216;s <strong>La Grazia<\/strong>, promises to be a festival highlight. In keeping with his baroque, melancholy aesthetic, the Neapolitan filmmaker returns with a highly personal work. <strong>C\u00e9dric Jimenez<\/strong> closes the festival with <strong>Chien 51<\/strong>, a high-octane drama that revisits the social tensions already explored in <em>Bac Nord<\/em>.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">A dense and cosmopolitan official selection<\/h2>\n\n<p><strong>French filmmakers<\/strong> are well represented in the competition: <strong>Olivier Assayas<\/strong> adapts <em>Le Mage du Kremlin<\/em>, <strong>Fran\u00e7ois Ozon<\/strong> tackles Camus&#8217; <em>L&#8217;\u00c9tranger<\/em>, and <strong>Val\u00e9rie Donzelli<\/strong> presents <strong>\u00c0 pied d&#8217;\u0153uvre<\/strong>. These are films rooted in contemporary literature and society. The selection also welcomes <strong>Jim Jarmusch<\/strong> with <em>Father Mother Sister Brother<\/em> and <strong>Guillermo del Toro<\/strong> with a retelling of <em>Frankenstein<\/em>.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Another eagerly-awaited return: <strong>Y\u00f3rgos L\u00e1nthimos<\/strong>, winner of the Golden Lion in 2023 for <em>Poor Things<\/em>, presents <strong>Bugonia<\/strong> with <strong>Emma Stone<\/strong>. A new, offbeat universe for the already cult duo. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Documentaries in the spotlight out of competition<\/h2>\n\n<p>Alongside the fiction, <strong>Sofia Coppola<\/strong> will present <strong>Marc by Sofia<\/strong>, an intimate documentary about <strong>Marc Jacobs<\/strong>, their creative relationship and their circle of shared muses. The film has a particular resonance in <strong>Paris<\/strong>, where the two artists have often collaborated &#8211; notably on Louis Vuitton shows. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">The Mostra, a mirror of Parisian artistic issues<\/h2>\n\n<p>What this edition shows is the extent to which <strong>Venice and Paris<\/strong> are in dialogue. Many of the filmmakers mentioned live or shoot in France. And the 2025 edition is already eagerly awaited in Parisian cinephile circles, from the <strong>Forum des Images<\/strong> to the <strong>Cin\u00e9math\u00e8que fran\u00e7aise<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<h2
