Since 1926<\/em>, the H\u00f4tel Montalembert<\/a> has stood at the corner of rue du Bac and rue Montalembert, in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Pr\u00e9s, the district of intellectuals, publishers and art galleries. The first boutique hotel in Paris, today it retains its artistic soul, discreet and warm, in perfect harmony with its Parisian surroundings. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Renovated by Pascal Allaman<\/strong> and G\u00e9raldine Prieur<\/strong>, the five-star establishment is a prized address for insiders. It attracts writers, gallery owners and diplomats, as well as an international clientele sensitive to the French art of living. Owned by the B Signature family group<\/strong><\/a>group, the hotel embodies a sober, meticulous luxury, driven by the vision ofAnne Jousse<\/strong> and her general manager, Laurence Guinebreti\u00e8re<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Rooms that feel like home<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The hotel has 50 rooms<\/strong>, including 10 suites<\/strong><\/a>, designed as guest rooms in a Parisian apartment. The subtle decor blends cornices, moldings<\/strong>, ebony-stained wenge parquet, high-gloss lacquers and precious woods<\/strong>. The rooms come in shades of orange or yellow<\/em>, a nod to the revisited Haussmann aesthetic. The furniture, custom-designed by Pascal Allaman, gives each room its own identity. <\/p>\n\n

The bathrooms<\/strong>, veritable bathing salons, combine Carrara marble<\/strong>, Bizzaza mosaic<\/strong> and natural teak<\/strong>, creating a cocooned atmosphere. Some suites, located on the top floors, offer breathtaking views over the rooftops of Paris<\/strong> and even the Eiffel<\/strong> Tower. Suites 51 and 82, personally designed by Anne Jousse, feature antique furniture, herringbone<\/strong> parquet flooring and original works by internationally exhibited artist Jean-Pierre Bourquin<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

An intimate, seasonal restaurant<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

A must in the neighborhood, the Montalembert restaurant<\/strong><\/a> has preserved its old-fashioned soul. A landmark among neighboring publishers, including Gallimard<\/strong>, it is frequented by a loyal clientele of regulars. Renovated with noble materials – rosewood panelling<\/strong>, white Carrara marble<\/strong>, dark parquet flooring<\/strong> – it opens onto a bright lounge<\/strong> and a plant-filled mini patio<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

In the kitchen, <\/strong>Chef Cyril Russo<\/strong> cultivates a sensitive, instinctive approach to taste. Having worked in the restaurants of the H\u00f4tel Westminster and the Bachaumont, he refined his standards and asserted his culinary signature. Today, his cuisine is lively, daring and rooted in the seasons. The restaurant is open Monday to Sunday<\/strong>, from 12:00 to 22:30, with a tight, demanding menu. <\/p>\n\n

Lobby, fireplace, terrace: the living spaces<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Designed by G\u00e9raldine Prieur and her agency Rouge Absolu<\/strong>, the Montalembert’s lobby<\/strong> is a tribute to the decorative arts. Walnut benches, bespoke bookcases, brass fixtures, forest-green hues and full-grain leather create a warm, chic setting. The aim was clear: to give the feeling of crossing the threshold of a Parisian private mansion<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

The semi-private fireplace lounge<\/strong>, located between the restaurant and the patio, hosts meetings, readings and moments of relaxation. In fine weather, the sunny terrace<\/strong> is popular with local Parisians, artists and political figures, who find a discreet refuge here. <\/p>\n\n

Spa, fitness and high-end services<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Since 2024<\/em>, the H\u00f4tel Montalembert has added a wellness area<\/strong><\/a> designed by Batiik<\/strong> Studio. The spa<\/strong>, clad in natural stone and corrugated wood, invites you to let go. In-room treatments<\/strong>, a state-of-the-art fitness room<\/strong> and Cl\u00e9 d’Or concierge<\/strong> services complete the upscale experience. <\/p>\n\n

When it comes to technology, rooms feature ultra-fast fiber WiFi<\/strong>, AirPlay<\/strong> and a well-stocked minibar<\/strong>. 24-hour room service<\/strong> and private lounges such as Le Gallimard<\/strong> and Le Correspondant<\/strong> are also available for lunches, interviews and business meetings<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n
