For Fashion Week 2025, an exceptional collaboration made its mark: that of designer Eddie Corps and Oriane Sossah, a contemporary painter, united around a poetic project entitled <em>&#8220;Un souffle d&#8217;Edo: la peinture en mouvement&#8221;.<\/em> This encounter between two worlds &#8211; canvas and fabric &#8211; redefines the boundary between garment and work of art. Discover this magnificent synergy on <strong>Oriane Sossah &#8211; art et mode Paris<\/strong>.   <\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/www.parisselectbook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-190885\" style=\"width:840px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.parisselectbook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image.png 800w, https:\/\/www.parisselectbook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-295x221.png 295w, https:\/\/www.parisselectbook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-768x576.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>An ode to Japan and contemporary creation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Presented on <strong>October 1, 2025 at the Asni\u00e8res-sur-Seine town hall<\/strong>, Eddie Corps&#8217; <strong>SS26<\/strong> collection was inspired by Edo period Japan, blending tradition and modernity. The guest artist created a <strong>hand-painted haori coat<\/strong>, the show&#8217;s centerpiece, as well as three exclusive accessories &#8211; an umbrella and two fans &#8211; that extend the visual narrative. <\/p>\n\n<p>This collaboration was born of a sincere friendship and mutual artistic admiration. The idea of entrusting Oriane the artist with a masterpiece for the collection came naturally, fueled by their shared passion for Japan, travel and the beauty of the creative gesture. <br\/><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A painting in motion<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Inspired by the aesthetics of the<strong>Ukiyo-e<\/strong>, this textile work is a <strong>painting in motion<\/strong> deployed on a white haori imagined by Eddie Corps. Painted in acrylic after lengthy research into texture and color, it recounts a symbolic journey: three women, a mountain, cherry blossom trees, a temple and Hokusai&#8217;s famous wave. The result is a poetic journey between dream and memory, suspended in time.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The props complete the story with a delicate touch:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a <strong>white parasol<\/strong> decorated with a golden tree,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a <strong>blue lotus fan<\/strong> in gradated shades,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and a <strong>sun fan<\/strong> adorned with gold circles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Each of these elements pays homage to <strong>traditional Japanese motifs<\/strong>, while asserting a sensitive, vibrant modernity.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A collection that celebrates creative freedom<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s been a great pleasure to be an artist among artists,&#8221; confides the painter, evoking the richness of this dialogue between art and fashion. Eddie Corps adds: &#8220;This collaboration embodies exactly what I&#8217;m looking for: elegance of gesture and shared freedom.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n<p>The show, with its <strong>minimalist, luminous scenography<\/strong>, featured model <strong>Oliwia Lis<\/strong>, the artist&#8217;s muse, wearing the main haori. Around them, the SS26 collection brought together other guest designers such as <strong>T H E L O U S S I N E<\/strong> (accessories), <strong>MoROPi.<\/strong> visual artist <strong>Mario Nava<\/strong>, and <strong>Ere Perez<\/strong>, specialized in natural skincare and make-up. <\/p>\n\n<p>The cocktail, offered by <strong>Maison Sassy<\/strong>, added a touch of refinement, concluding the evening in a spirit of daring and elegance.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The art of gesture and material<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p>More than just a fashion show, this presentation was a true <strong>celebration of the living memory of fabrics<\/strong> and the <strong>fluidity of forms<\/strong>. The artist&#8217;s painterly gesture and the designer&#8217;s savoir-faire came together in the same quest for expressive beauty and movement. <\/p>\n\n<p>This project is a perfect illustration of how <strong>art and fashion in Paris<\/strong> feed off each other, giving rise to hybrid works in which every seam becomes a line, every color an emotion.<\/p>\n\n<p>Through this collaboration, Eddie Corps and his guest Oriane Sossah remind us that contemporary creation is not limited to one discipline &#8211; it is woven through exchanges, friendships and inner journeys.
