Paris is once again set to vibrate to the rhythm of one of its most legendary venues. Closed since 2023, Le Palace<\/em>, temple of Parisian nightlife and symbol of an era when party, culture and the avant-garde mingled without restraint, announces its complete reopening for October 2026. More than just a club, this rehabilitated former theater was the epicenter of a cultural revolution that marked several generations, from the music hall to the first electronic nights. In a few years’ time, under the direction of Michael Chetrit, the venue will be reborn in a grand format, ready to combine live entertainment, concerts, theater and original events. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

A palace, a story: from golden age to musical icons<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

In the late 1970s and early 80s, Le Palace<\/em> was much more than a nightclub. Under the impetus of Fabrice Emaer<\/g>, a visionary pioneer of Parisian nightlife, the establishment became, like New York’s famous Studio 54<\/g>, a place where the artistic and the mundane merged. Thanks to technical innovations such as the use of lasers and spectacular sets, it became a meeting point for VIPs, designers, artists and avant-garde music<\/g>. It was here, too, that Laurent Garnier<\/g>, a key figure on the French electronic music scene, took up his first residency in the capital in 1988<\/g>, at the famous Pyramide<\/g> parties – one of the first where house music rocked Paris. This flamboyant past lends Le Palace<\/em> an irresistible aura, and its closure left a cultural void that many hoped would be filled. <\/p>\n\n

A new lease of life for Very Good Show<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The complete reopening announced for October 2026 marks Le Palace<\/em> ‘s determination to return in all its splendor. Michael Chetrit<\/strong>, already at the helm of the Palais des Glaces<\/strong> and Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Le M\u00e9tropole<\/strong>, takes over the reins. He joins forces with David Bukobza<\/g>, Cyril and Julien Madart<\/g>, founders of Very Good Show<\/g> – producer of shows for artists such as Ilysse Malat, Nordin Gansot and Sarah Connard<\/g>. Together, they are preparing an ambitious program which suggests that pure clubbing will be less central than in the past, to the benefit of a cultural offering combining concerts in the pit or seated, theater and major live events<\/g>. A new era is taking shape, in which the historic venue not only resurrects its past, but reinvents its place in the Parisian cultural landscape. <\/p>\n\n

What to expect in autumn 2026<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The promise made by the new directors is clear: to welcome up to 1,400 guests<\/strong> in a refurbished venue, designed for live shows as much as for grand soir\u00e9es. While the renovation work is deemed “more than necessary”, the signature of Jacques Garcia<\/g> – a major figure in interior design – suggests a space that is at once majestic, comfortable and spectacular. In addition to offering a new stage for international artists, Le Palace<\/em> is set to become an exceptional address for artistic creation, nightlife experiences and cultural events<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n
