This noble wood has stood the test of time, thanks to regular maintenance. As a result, the building remains functional for harvest storage.  <\/p>\n<p>Around this historic <strong>barn<\/strong>, other buildings complete the ensemble. There are stables, sheds and a manor house. Together, they form a coherent, harmonious agricultural estate.  <\/p>\n<p>The current owners are committed to preserving this heritage. They have undertaken restoration work using traditional methods. What&#8217;s more, they have opened the site to the public to share this richness.  <\/p>\n<h3>An operation focused on short distribution channels<\/h3>\n<p>La ferme de Viltain has adapted to the expectations of modern consumers. It now offers direct sales of its products. Local residents come here to buy milk, yoghurt and fresh vegetables.  <\/p>\n<p>In season, picking attracts many families. Strawberries, raspberries, apples and pears are harvested in the estate&#8217;s orchards. This activity allows city dwellers to reconnect with the land.  <\/p>\n<p>The success of this business model proves the viability of peri-urban farms. On the other hand, it requires a daily commitment on the part of the farmers.
