Fatbikes<\/strong> have been invading Paris<\/a> cycle paths for several months now. These XXL tank-like bikes are provoking exasperation among pedestrians, motorists and other cyclists. Faced with this situation, Paris City Council is considering drastic measures to regulate their use. <\/p>\n

A proliferation that annoys Parisians<\/h2>\n

For some time now, these two-wheeled behemoths have been a fixture on the capital’s<\/a> urban landscape. However, their presence is not universally appreciated. The problem has been brought to the attention of Paris City Hall, but fatbikes<\/strong> continue to proliferate with nothing to stop them. <\/p>\n

Of course, not all owners of these machines are dangerous drivers. However, in the vast majority of cases, the riders of these pseudo-motorbikes behave like the kings of the world. They think the whole city belongs to them, and show no respect for pedestrians<\/a> or other road users. <\/p>\n

Dangerous behavior displayed without embarrassment<\/h3>\n

Many users don’t hesitate to post on social networks<\/a> in an obvious display of provocation. Some are filming themselves breaking all the laws of the Highway Code. Their speedometers sometimes exceed 60 km\/h<\/strong>, well beyond the authorized limits. <\/p>\n

Faced with this kind of behavior, Parisians are demanding swift and effective action. In their sights: enforcement of the no-debridging ban on these vehicles, which believe themselves to be above the law. As a result, pressure is mounting on local authorities to act quickly. <\/p>\n
