For three days, Diplom\u00e1tico Venezuelan rum transforms a hidden house in the 19th arrondissement of Paris into a warm and inviting setting for crafts, gastronomy and cocktails.<\/strong>It’s a sensory voyage, where time and manual gestures become a true experience.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

From June 12 to 14, 2026, Diplom\u00e1tico is bringing a brand-new event to Paris: La Residencia Diplom\u00e1tico<\/strong>. More than a simple tasting, this ephemeral immersion imagines a dialogue between artisanal know-how, contemporary Venezuelan cuisine and cocktail culture. All in a setting that seems almost timeless. <\/p>\n\n

Nestled just a stone’s throw from the Jourdain metro station in the 19th arrondissement, the house chosen to host this experiment already possesses a singular soul. A former painter’s studio tucked away at the end of a tree-lined courtyard, it retains its exposed brickwork, wooden beams and light-filled patio. An intimate, almost Mediterranean atmosphere, which immediately echoes the warm atmosphere of Venezuela. <\/p>\n\n

At Diplom\u00e1tico, time is at the heart of everything. The Venezuelan company’s rums are patiently aged to allow each note to develop its full aromatic complexity. This same philosophy permeates La Residencia. <\/p>\n\n

Here, nothing is conceived in a hurry. Each day is designed around a guest artisan who takes possession of the premises and shares his or her world through small-group workshops. Participants leave with an object made by their own hands, extending the experience well beyond the tasting. <\/p>\n\n

On Friday, the focus is on straw marquetry<\/strong>, with the creation of decorative coasters with graphic accents. On Saturday, the spotlight is on ceramics<\/strong>, with a workshop devoted to making a cocktail measuring glass. Finally, on Sunday,leather craftsmen<\/strong> will be making a customizable bottle holder. <\/p>\n\n

Each session welcomes just ten participants, reinforcing the feeling of a privileged, almost confidential moment.<\/p>\n\n

Gastronomy also plays a central role in the experience. For the occasion, the kitchens of La Residencia are entrusted to two chefs with complementary backgrounds: Sh\u00e9hr\u00e9zade Alfonso and Ruben Tayupo. <\/p>\n\n

Based in Marseilles, Sh\u00e9hr\u00e9zade Alfonso develops a contemporary vegetal cuisine based on spices, herbs and textures. Opposite her, Ruben Tayupo explores Latin American culinary traditions with a more instinctive approach, deeply rooted in the flavors of Venezuela. <\/p>\n\n

Together, they imagined a table designed in dialogue with the aromas of Diplom\u00e1tico Reserva Exclusiva. The rum’s notes of caramel, vanilla and sweet spices find a natural extension in the dishes served over the three days. <\/p>\n\n

This culinary encounter gives rise to a cuisine that is sunny, generous and deeply sensory.<\/p>\n\n

For this experience, Diplom\u00e1tico invites chocolatier Edwin Yansane and bartender L\u00e9a Colla, founder of Wow Garnish. Together, they work on chocolate as a creative material in its own right: textures, aromatic combinations, visual finishes. <\/p>\n\n

Participants discover how cocoa vintages can interact with the notes of Diplom\u00e1tico rum, while experiencing first-hand the creation of sophisticated garnishes.<\/p>\n\n
