Every summer, millions of people carefully apply sunscreen before heading to the beach<\/a>. Yet sunburns<\/strong> on the back remain among the most common and painful. The reason is often the same: the amount of sunscreen used is far too small to provide real protection. <\/p>\n

Why the back is the area most prone to sunburn<\/h2>\n

The back has two major drawbacks. First, it\u2019s hard to reach: unless you\u2019re a contortionist, it\u2019s almost impossible to reach all areas evenly. People often forget about<\/a> the middle of the back or the area below the shoulder blades. <\/p>\n

In addition, the cream is applied to this area without seeing it. Unlike the arms or legs, you can’t see what you’re doing. This results in a layer that is too thin and very uneven on the skin<\/a>. <\/p>\n
