Picture a former industrial wasteland transformed into a cultural<\/a> and natural destination just minutes from Paris<\/a>. That is exactly what \u00cele Seguin, in Boulogne-Billancourt, now offers: concerts, open-air sculptures, restaurants and riverside guinguettes all coexisting along the banks of the Seine.<\/p>\n

Nightlife and festivities on \u00cele Seguin<\/h2>\n

After dark, the island takes on a whole new energy. Seguin Sound draws night owls with a relaxed, sociable menu of sharing boards, burgers and craft beers. But it is the evenings that truly reveal the venue’s character, with concerts and DJ sets<\/a> regularly programmed until 5 in the morning.<\/p>\n

During summer 2026<\/a>, La Chaloupe also takes over the rooftop of La Seine Musicale, offering bars, DJ sets and a panoramic view over Paris. The island, in other words, gives you plenty of reasons to stretch a leisurely day’s stroll well into the night.<\/p>\n

Restaurants and guinguettes: taking a break on the island<\/h2>\n

When it comes to eating, the options are varied. On the forecourt of La Seine Musicale, O2 Sc\u00e8nes serves meals and snacks after shows. From July 2026, SIDRA offers a gastronomic menu blending Asian and Mediterranean flavours, conceived by chef Parin Baris.<\/p>\n

Nearby, La Nubia immerses visitors in an Afro-Caribbean atmosphere, with an extensive cocktail selection. These addresses capture the spirit of the traditional guinguettes of old, whose riverside terraces keep that convivial heritage very much alive today.<\/p>\n

800 trees and sculptures: the island’s new park<\/h2>\n

Opened in early 2026, the Gauthier-Mougin departmental park covers 1.6 hectares<\/strong> at the entrance to the site. Landscape architect Michel Desvigne has designed a gently sloping lawn that rolls down towards the Seine, woodland paths and a riverbank lined with willows. In total, 800 trees<\/strong> have been planted, including beeches, oaks, pines and poplars.<\/p>\n

The park is far more than a green space. Around twenty contemporary sculptures are dotted between the Pointe des Arts and the surroundings of La Seine Musicale, turning the grounds into a genuine open-air museum. Visitors can picnic on the lawn, wander through the groves and hunt for artworks scattered throughout the landscape.<\/p>\n

    Two major cultural venues facing each other<\/h2>\n

    La Seine Musicale is one of the area’s defining landmarks. Inaugurated in 2017<\/strong> and designed by architects Jean de Gastines and Shigeru Ban, it is instantly recognisable for its striking circular form. Concerts, festivals, dance performances and exhibitions follow one another throughout the year.<\/p>\n

    Opposite it, the Pointe des Arts will open in October 2026<\/strong>. This multidisciplinary arts centre will spread across nearly 5,000 square metres<\/strong> dedicated to exhibitions, performances and screenings in an eight-screen Path\u00e9 cinema. A bookshop-boutique, a bar and a terrace with views over the surrounding region will complete the complex. A park spanning several hectares will surround the building, with sculptures to discover outdoors.<\/p>\n
