What pharmacists really think about the blue Nivea tin<\/h2>\n

The little blue tin has been a bathroom staple<\/a> since the early twentieth century and has never really gone away. Yet in 2026, it’s enjoying a second life on social media, where influencers are billing it as a “supermarket botox”. Pharmacist Rafaela Ribeiro acknowledges that the formula is simple, well-constructed and has proven itself decade after decade, particularly on very dry areas of skin.<\/p>\n

Pharmacist and formulator Roger Nebot confirms it is an excellent moisturiser, highly occlusive, that reinforces the skin barrier and softens fine lines caused by dehydration. Nivea cream is built on a classic base: water, mineral oil, petrolatum, glycerin, microcrystalline waxes, lanolin alcohol, panthenol, vitamin E and fragrance.
