A return to the source for Prada<\/h2>\n

The choice of location is no coincidence. It was here, in this very 19th-century shopping arcade, that Mario Prada opened the very first Fratelli Prada store<\/a> in 1913<\/strong>. Reopening this address means reconnecting with the starting point of the entire family story.<\/p>\n

Lorenzo Bertelli, Mario Prada’s great-grandson and the group’s marketing director, has been candid about it: this project carries a personal dimension that no other boutique can match. His parents, Miuccia Prada<\/a> and Patrizio Bertelli, were deeply involved in its conception. The stated ambition goes beyond retail, it is about telling a story. As he put it, the aim is to show the house’s roots, its DNA and its way of thinking.<\/p>\n

The journey begins below ground, with the Passaggio Segreto<\/strong>. This underground passage connects the now-expanded Prada Donna and Prada Uomo boutiques. Along its length, archive pieces illuminate little-known episodes from the house’s history, a concrete way to step behind the scenes of a century-old brand before even reaching the retail floors.<\/p>\n

On the piano nobile, Pradasphere<\/strong> marks the first permanent exhibition ever dedicated to the house. It traces more than a century of creativity through garments, objects and collaborations spanning art, architecture, cinema, culture and sport.
