That is exactly what the Balade du Go\u00fbt 2026<\/strong> has in store, on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October<\/strong>, with more than 70 farms and producers<\/strong> opening their doors to the public across the region<\/a>.<\/p>\n

An event rooted in the \u00cele-de-France countryside<\/h2>\n

Born in 1997 in Seine-et-Marne<\/strong>, this event is organised by the Chambre d’agriculture de R\u00e9gion \u00cele-de-France<\/a>, in partnership with the Bienvenue \u00e0 la Ferme network. Over nearly three decades, it has grown well beyond its home d\u00e9partement to cover a large swathe of the \u00cele-de-France territory. For this 29th edition<\/strong>, 75 farms and artisan producers<\/strong> are throwing open their gates.<\/p>\n

Livestock farms, orchards, vineyards, honey producers, cheese dairies, breweries and craft workshops are all on the map. Each visitor puts together their own itinerary<\/a> based on personal taste and location, because the real strength of this event lies in that freedom to roam from one place to the next, with no fixed programme to follow.<\/p>\n

What you can actually experience at the Balade du Go\u00fbt 2026<\/h2>\n

The activities on offer vary from site to site, but all share the same thread: direct contact with the people who produce what ends up on your plate. Depending on where you go, you can watch animals being milked, see a mill in action, learn how pasta or cheese is made, take part in hands-on workshops and taste the produce on the spot. Some sites even offer lunch on the farm.<\/p>\n

Here is a taste of what the 2026 programme has in store:<\/p>\n

  • Fromagerie Ganot in Jouarre (77)<\/strong>: a tour of the cellars of the oldest Brie cheese dairy in the region, tastings, and a Brie-unch on Sunday by reservation.<\/li>\n
  • Ferme de Forest in Chaumes-en-Brie (77)<\/strong>: a working mill, guided tours, and cr\u00eapes and waffles made with the farm’s own flour to taste.<\/li>\n
  • Cressonni\u00e8re du Moulin du Ruisseau in Courances (91)<\/strong>: traditional watercress grown in spring water, tours and specialities to sample on site.<\/li>\n
  • Domaine viticole de Paris Gravelle (Paris 12e)<\/strong>: a vineyard visit on Saturday at 10:30am, a tasting of the first 2025 harvest, with Grape Ale and grape juice.<\/li>\n
  • Ferme de Filbois in Aufferville (77)<\/strong>: a chance to meet the sheep and poultry, shearing demonstrations, and on Sunday, ploughing with horses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Several other addresses are well worth the detour. Les 3 Givr\u00e9es in May-en-Multien offers a tour of a former livestock building converted into a production lab, with around forty flavours of ice cream and sorbet to try. In Tancrou, the Ch\u00e8vrerie Moret opens its doors onto its 240 Alpine goats<\/strong>, milking parlour and cheese room. In Issy-les-Moulineaux, Terre et Fourchette invites visitors to discover an artisan cannery working with local \u00cele-de-France produce, including a zero-waste workshop.<\/p>\n

    Planning your route before the weekend<\/h2>\n

    Some activities and meals require advance booking. This is the case for the barbecue lunch at the Domaine viticole de Paris Gravelle, the Brie-unch at Fromagerie Ganot, the Sunday farmhouse lunch at Des p\u00e2tes briardes \u00e9pi c’est tout in Marles-en-Brie, and the local meals at Ferme de Filbois. It is well worth consulting the full programme ahead of time to avoid disappointment.<\/p>\n

    The guided tour of Ferme du Haubert in Brueil-en-Vexin, for instance, requires registration and runs on Saturday only. Similarly, the Ferme bio du plateau briard in Mandres-les-Roses is open on Saturday 17 October only, as is La Reine Astrid in Savigny-sur-Orge, which offers a tour of its chocolate-making laboratory with an introduction to cacao and tastings throughout.<\/p>\n

    Experiences designed for every kind of visitor<\/h2>\n

    The Balade du Go\u00fbt 2026<\/strong> is not just for adults with a passion for local food. Several sites have put together activities specifically for children. Ferme de Saint-Thibault in Saint-Thibault-des-Vignes offers a fun trail, a cheese-making workshop and apple pressing, with milking at 4pm and warm milk to taste. L’\u00c9coferme des mille et une feuilles in Fromont runs hourly workshops on flour and oil production. Des p\u00e2tes briardes \u00e9pi c’est tout in Marles-en-Brie has dedicated activities for younger visitors alongside a tour of its pasta-making laboratory.<\/p>\n

    On the wine side, the Domaine viticole de l’Issue in Saint-Gervais in Val-d’Oise opens both days for tastings of the 2024 and 2025 vintages, with a cellar visit and the option to explore the estate’s young organic vines.
