The documentary Le Prince & le Kaiser<\/strong>, directed by Olivier Nicklaus and broadcast on Arte in December 2026, reopens the case with a candour rarely seen before, drawing on rare archive footage and sixteen witnesses who agreed to speak without holding back.<\/p>\n

What strikes you first is the symmetry of their origins. Yves Saint Laurent and Karl Lagerfeld were both gay men from the provinces who grew up feeling like outsiders.
