Louis Vuitton takes to the Formula 1 circuits
Louis Vuitton makes a remarkable entry into the world of Formula 1. Through a 10-year partnership, it celebrates the alliance between luxury craftsmanship and motor racing.
An exclusive partnership with Formula 1
The year 2025 marks a new milestone for Louis Vuitton, which becomes an official partner of Formula 1 for a ten-year period. Having already explored the world of sport with e-sport and the famous League of Legends video game, the French fashion house is now tackling one of the most prestigious disciplines in motorsport.
The partnership will begin at the Melbourne Grand Prix on March 16, 2025, marking Louis Vuitton ‘s official entry into the race. F1 President Stefano Domenicali welcomed this union between “luxury, craftsmanship and the highest expression of motor racing.”
A trophy case to celebrate victory
True to its tradition of accompanying major sporting competitions, Louis Vuitton will introduce an exclusive trophy case, designed in its Asnières workshops. This unique savoir-faire follows in the footsteps of the company’s previous creations, notably the Malle Trophée for the Monaco Grand Prix in 2021, won by Max Verstappen.
The official slogan of the partnership, “Victory travels in Louis Vuitton”, perfectly illustrates this collaboration, highlighting refinement and innovation at the service of motorsport.
The story of Louis Vuitton and the automobile
Although this partnership with Formula 1 is a first, Louis Vuitton has a historic link with the world of automobiles. As early as 1897, Georges Vuitton designed luggage specifically for vehicles. In the 1990s, the company organized the Louis Vuitton Classic Run, a prestigious car rally. In 2006, it launched the Louis Vuitton Classic and Design Awards, affirming its attachment to the world of fine automobiles.
