Fendi goes mixed for its centenary show… but without Kim Jones

As Italian fashion enters the hustle and bustle of Milan Fashion Week, Fendi takes a strategic turn in the absence of Kim Jones. The century-old house once again opts for a mixed format, revealing a bold vision led by Silvia Venturini Fendi.

A new chapter begins at Fendi, without Kim Jones

In October 2024, the Roman fashion house parted company with Kim Jones, then Artistic Director of the Women’s and Couture lines. This departure marks the end of an era that began in 2020, and whose imprint – between British classicism and Latin sensuality – has profoundly marked the collections.

However, no name has yet been announced as his successor. Fendi remains silent on this point, fuelling speculation in the industry. However, this grey area does not hinder the company’s creativity – quite the contrary.

Spring 2026: a mixed fashion show, a unified vision

Already last February, Fendi presented a co-ed Fall 2025 collection, fusing feminine and masculine silhouettes. The house will repeat the experience in September 2025, for its Spring 2026 show, again in Milan.

At the helm: Silvia Venturini Fendi, a central figure in the house, who for years has designed the Men’s and Accessories lines. Here, she oversees all silhouettes – a temporary creative takeover or the prelude to a future repositioning?

Fendi will not be taking part in June’s Men’s Fashion Week, marking a clear repositioning on the Milan scene.

One hundred years of elegance, a future to invent

This next show will have a special dimension: it is part of the centenary of the House of Fendi, founded in 1925. A symbolic celebration, but also a test of resilience. Without an artistic director for women, Fendi is playing an unexpected card: that of continuity without a sharp break.

One thing’s for sure: this co-ed direction is seductive for its aesthetic coherence and its adaptation to new clothing habits.
