Vesper, the festive, Nikkei chic address
A sushi bar, a bold fusion menu, a top musical line-up and a terrace where champagne flows on Sundays… Vesper is not just a restaurant, it’s a new scene.
Vesper: an iconic new table at the École Militaire
Just a stone’s throw from the Champ de Mars, nestled at 81 avenue Bosquet, Vesper has established itself as the new signature of the Fitz Group, already behind Fitzgerald and Abstinence. With this third address, Guillaume Benard intends to awaken the Left Bank, which has been asleep for too long.
Designed as a place with a progressive ambience, Vesper begins gently with exceptional nikkei dinners, before giving way to an electrifying atmosphere as the evening progresses. Lázaro Rosa Violán’s design, with its light wood, tropical marble and sumptuous velvet, evokes a contemporary ryokan crossed with a chic 1970s club. Add to this a shimmering bar and turntables staffed by female DJs, and you have a rare experience in the 7th arrondissement.
Nikkei cuisine: careful fusion and demanding sourcing
Chef Lucas Felzine delivers a tasty score, halfway between Japan, Peru and French terroir. Each dish focuses on a star product, enhanced by delicate marinades, Japanese barbecue cooking and well-balanced spices.
Among the stars of the menu, we loved the duck gyozas, the lobster ravioli and the salmon crispy rice (which we saw all over the web). For the main course, we were just as delighted by the crying tiger as we were by the black cod with miso. On the side, the miso eggplant was a pleasant surprise.
Sunday brunch: chic and inclusive
On Sundays, Vesper reinvents brunch with a generous buffet, refined cocktails, unlimited champagne… and a warm atmosphere. Children are welcome with creative workshops and supervised games (every 3rd Sunday), while dogs also get their treat. A rare address that combines style, flavor and family conviviality.
Why Vesper already has a cult following
Because it blends elegance with freedom, refinement with celebration, and cuisine with rhythm. Vesper redefines the Left Bank exit as it has not been experienced for a long time. Stay tuned, Vesper (like the other fine Fitz Group addresses) knows how to surprise us with its evenings: on Wednesdays, it’s fortune-telling! Right now, enjoy the Terrasse Miraval (we’d love to see Brad Pitt too, but rosé is enough for us) every evening from 6pm to 9pm, one glass bought, the second offered. Ideal for a chic afterwork.
