Carrie Bradshaw, Jimmy Choo and the return of cult stilettos…

What if fashion had a memory? Jimmy Choo reopens its archives and Paris holds its breath.

A collection that revives the spirit of 1997-2001

The Jimmy Choo fashion house has pulled out all the stops with the launch of The Archive: 1997-2001, a limited edition reissue of eight iconic models. Among them? Three pairs worn by Sex and the City icon Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker. These shoes, which have become cult objects, return to the scene as a tribute to the glamour of the era.

Artistic Director Sandra Choi puts it bluntly: “These are the years when it all began. They embody the very soul of Jimmy Choo.” To reactivate this collective memory, she collaborated with fashion journalist Alexander Fury and designer Conner Ives. Together, they delved into 26 years of archives to reveal the essence of feminine luxury.

Models that tell the story of an era… and a heroine

Among the most coveted pieces:

  • Leo (1998), worn in the series’ credits: animal print and recognizable silhouette.
  • The 72138, in lilac suede with feathers, which Carrie loses like Cinderella in a cult episode: “I’ve lost my Choo!”
  • Bold, statement-makingpink python boots.

Each pair tells a story of the fashion culture of the 2000s, when shoes were more than just accessories: they became symbols of self-assertion.

Why this Jimmy Choo reissue is rocking Paris

With this collection, Jimmy Choo is not looking back, but reconnecting with its DNA. A timely move at a time of strong Y2K nostalgia. In Paris, a city where style and cinema are intertwined, these models awaken the fantasy of the free, urban and sharp woman.
