This Orient Express hotel will turn your stay in Rome upside down…

What if Rome’s most beautiful panorama could be discovered… from a secret rooftop? Welcome to Orient Express La Minerva.

A flamboyant return for the Orient Express legend

It’s in the heart of the historic quarter, a stone’s throw from the Pantheon, that the very first Orient Express hotel has set up shop. Nestled in a 17th-century palazzo on Piazza Minerva, La Minerva reinvents the Roman luxury hotel. Behind this renaissance is the talented architect Hugo Toro, who has created a décor as sensorial as it is timeless.

Discreet luxury and travel heritage

Right from the light-filled atrium, the tone is set: exuberant vegetation, monumental bar, neo-mythological sculptures. The 93 rooms and 36 suites pay homage to the golden age of great train journeys, combining dark woods, antique mirrors, deep velvets and heady carpets.

The details are unmistakable: trunks transformed into bedside tables, custom-designed lamps, sheets by Rivolta Carmignani – supplier of the historic sleeping cars – and, in the bathrooms, crimson marble and Guerlain products. A subtle, narrative luxury that makes each space unique.

Gigi Rigolatto: the rooftop all Rome is already talking about

But the big revelation lurks at the very top. The Gigi Rigolatto rooftop, designed by Paris Society and Rikas Hospitality, offers a 360° panoramic view of the wonders of Rome: Pantheon, Vittoriano, St. Peter’s Basilica. Enjoy generous Italian cuisine from morning to night: maritozzi, vitello tonnato, linguine with langoustines, fish crudos, tiramisù… all accompanied by vintage transalpine wines or well-struck bellinis.

A new Orient Express address with a cult following

With Orient Express La Minerva, Rome offers a new haven for aesthetic travelers, combining sophisticated design and breathtaking views. An address that is still confidential… but not for long.
