Vanessa Paradis prepares her musical comeback… but without revealing anything
Seven years of silence, a few enigmatic photos… and one thing is certain: Vanessa Paradis is back. The French singer is about to sign her musical comeback with an eighth album. But as is often the case with her, the announcement takes the form of a poetic whisper.
A wait bordering on impatience
Since 2018′s Les Sources, Vanessa Paradis hasn’t revealed anything about her music. At 52, the artist retains her discreet charm and rare ability to create an event without overdoing it. A few posts on Instagram, a sober shot of her at the microphone in a dark studio, a score in hand – and the internet goes wild.
Captioned “Studio – April 2025”, the photo raises all kinds of speculations: how many titles? Collaborations? An upcoming tour? No official announcement, but the buzz is real. His fans, loyal since “Joe le cab”, are multiplying their comments.
Well-orchestrated discretion
In an interview with Gala in October 2024, she already mentioned the preparation of her eighth album with her record label Barclay. But true to form, Vanessa Paradis prefers to suggest rather than reveal, leaving the vagueness that is part of her artistic magnetism.
Back in 2012, she told ELLE magazine that she wanted to break away from the public image of her as a mysterious woman. And yet, with every project, she manages to maintain that elegant distance, somewhere between revelation and retreat.
Waiting for the stage, the cinema
While the studios are buzzing with notes to come, it’s on the big screen that her fans will be able to find her in the meantime. On November 5, 2025, she will star in T’as pas changé, a comedy by Jérôme Commandeur about a reunion between old high school friends. The role is a mix of emotion and nostalgia, in keeping with her sensitive universe.
Things to remember
Vanessa Paradis is not making a comeback. She’s composing it. With care, slowness and a touch of mystery. Like a melody that settles in before it’s even played.
