Chaumet launches its first 100% traceable gold jewelry (and that’s just the beginning)

Luxury is redefining itself, and jewelry is no exception. With the launch of its first 100% traceable gold jewel, Chaumet has taken a strategic step forward in its environmental and social approach.

An obvious (and symbolic) pendant

The Parisian company, already a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council, is this season formalizing its commitment to the Swiss Better Gold Association. This association supports the sustainable development of artisanal mines. This alliance is embodied by the presentation of an original piece: a Bee pendant, inspired by Chaumet’s emblematic bee.

This obvious piece of jewelry is more than an accessory: it’s a proof of concept. From link to ring, every element is made from 100% traceable gold. It is selected according to strict environmental and social criteria. A powerful symbol in an industry still too opaque about the origins of its precious metals.

A strategic turning point supported by LVMH

This responsible shift is part of LVMH’s LIFE 360 program, the environmental strategy of the group that owns the company. At the same time, Chaumet is stepping up its actions on several fronts. Reducing the carbon footprint of its packaging, installing low-consumption equipment in its boutiques, raising awareness internally.

More than an isolated gesture, this launch paves the way for gradual generalization: traceable gold should gradually be integrated into all the Maison’s jewelry and Haute Joaillerie collections.

A direct response to the expectations of new generations

At a time when consumers, particularly millennials and Gen Z, are demanding transparency, ethics and commitment, this initiative appears to be a lever of trust and adhesion. In a market where emotion and symbolism are at the heart of the purchasing act, the jewel’s origin now counts as much as its brilliance.

With Bee, Chaumet does more than just create jewelry: it reaffirms a vision of luxury rooted in excellence… and responsibility.
