Why Hôtel Belleval is becoming the 8th arrondissement’s new confidential oasis
What if the sweetest surprise in the Saint-Lazare district was hidden in an old Haussmann building? Recently renovated, the Hôtel Belleval is much more than a place to pass through: it’s a vibrant, green refuge in the heart of the 8th arrondissement.
A renaissance by Madeho and Label Expérience
Located just a stone’s throw from the Gare Saint-Lazare, in the heart of Paris’s hustle and bustle, the Belleval underwent a complete transformation in June 2024, orchestrated by the Madeho hotel group, in collaboration with the Label Expérience studio. The aim: to breathe contemporary soul into this classically charming address, while enhancing its Haussmann heritage.
The result is a completely redesigned space, combining sober design and warm elegance, where period cornices interact with modern woodwork and a spectacular striped ceiling in the restaurant. A hushed, bright and welcoming atmosphere, designed for travelers and regulars alike.
A hidden garden in the heart of Parisian hustle and bustle
But the real revelation of the new Belleval is its green patio. An unsuspected haven of peace, hidden between two stone walls, adorned with a monumental 25-metre fresco by street artist Gola Hundun. In the center, a majestic tree towers like a totem of serenity.
The place instantly becomes one of the most confidential gardens in Paris, ideal for a business lunch, a break in the shade or dinner with friends. It’s here that Le Belleval imposes its signature: a peaceful, discreet art of living, far removed from formatted standards.
Local, responsible cuisine
On the plate, the chef relies on a menu that is organic, local and seasonal, with products chosen from short supply chains. The menu has a clear objective: to combine pleasure and conscience, with vegetarian and gluten-free options, without ever sacrificing taste.
The equally elegant Belleval bar offers a menu of creative cocktails and elegant mocktails, to be enjoyed on the patio or under the restaurant’s arches.
A chic and discreet new Parisian landmark
The Hôtel Belleval pulls off a rare feat: combining Haussmannian elegance with a contemporary spirit and a no-nonsense approach to eco-responsibility. Its soothing ambience, leafy patio and local roots make it an ideal address for experiencing Paris in a different way, far from the hustle and bustle of tourism and yet right in the heart of the capital.
Le Belleval is the address you’d like to keep all to yourself. A hidden garden, sincere cuisine, breathtaking hospitality… in short, a gentler Paris.
