A colorful wardrobe comes to Paris: La Dolce Vita by PENELOPE’S

PENELOPE’S shakes things up in Paris with a sale that smells of lacquer, rhinestones and theatrical glamour. Discover a flamboyant wardrobe from June 13 to 23 at Drouot Online and Galerie Conte.

A forgotten icon, an unforgettable dressing room

350 exceptional pieces, all from the wardrobe of a former star model of the 70s and 80s, make up this eventful sale. This Parisian, a figure of assertive, ultra-expressive glamour, nurtured her wardrobe with the greatest fashion houses: Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Moschino, Prada and Gianni Versace Couture.

This dressing room recounts an era of spectacular elegance, with its joyful baroque, wild prints, cascading rhinestones and flowers galore. All composed like a perfect score, dress after dress, accessory after accessory: shoes, bags, headbands… every detail vibrates in unison with a silhouette conceived as a coup d’éclat.

Here we feel the breath of an exalted life, of uncompromising femininity, at once glamorous, excessive and intensely free.

From heart to hand: 350 lots for 100% fun

This sale, entitled La garde-robe Dolce Vita d’une Parisienne, offers a fashion flashback reminiscent of the Du cœur à la main – Dolce & Gabbana exhibition. There’s a perfectly orchestrated taste for the too much, that “je-ne-sais-quoi de madone girly”, between mastery and excess, ideal for a joyful, liberating vintage style shoot.

Among the highlights? A black Gianni Versace Couture spring/summer 1994 dress, estimated at €1,000 to €1,500. A museum piece, as strong as it is feminine, it sums up the audacity of an era.
