What if Paris’s most chic snack were ice-cold this summer?
Forget lukewarm tea times and overly sweet pastries. This summer, Le Meurice is hitting hard – literally – with a frosted snack by Cédric Grolet.
A sensory experience under the glass roof
From July 1 to August 31, 2025, the Le Dali restaurant at Le Meurice becomes the setting for a fruity interlude. Pastry chef Cédric Grolet, accompanied by François Deshayes, offers a summertime version of the snack that breaks the mould. Sculpted sorbet, iced fruit, melting cookies, nothing is left to chance.
The concept? Fruits such as yuzu, coconut and passion fruit , hollowed out and filled with their own sorbet, in an ultra-pure version. A chic, poetic revisiting of the frosted orange of our childhood, but designed with the precision of a jeweller.
Between trompe-l’œil and gourmet memories
Fans of the Grolet style will recognize his famous trompe-l’œil creations, here presented in iced versions according to the inspiration of the moment: juicy mango, flat peach, or intense pistachio. A delicacy bordering on contemporary art.
There’s also a soft raspberry-vanilla cookie, with an almost nostalgic texture, and a set of iced drinks to choose from according to mood: smooth chocolate frappé, homemade affogato coffee, or chilled floral infusions.
The elegance of a tea time revisited
And for purists? English-style scones and savory pieces haven’t disappeared. They’re still there to balance out this icy celebration of summer.
A single watchword: slow down, enjoy, marvel. Le Meurice offers a refined and comforting summer ritual, far removed from the tourist clichés of the capital.
