Chapter Six arrives in Cannes… and takes over a legendary hotel

A page has been turned on the Croisette… and a new chapter has begun. Hotel group Chapitre Six has just announced the acquisition of the former Hotel 3.14, a Cannes landmark formerly operated by Groupe Partouche. With this strategic acquisition, the group aims to create a new five-star jewel in the heart of the Riviera’s sunniest city.

A large-scale operation on the Côte d’Azur

Located on rue François Eiseny, a stone’s throw from the legendary Croisette, the 5,000 m² building is now part of the Chapitre Six Group portfolio. For many years, 3.14 embodied a quirky, bohemian spirit, with its colorful design and eclectic clientele. But for some time now, the place had been losing some of its superb character. Chapitre Six promises a radical metamorphosis, with reopening scheduled for 2027.

This is the largest acquisition made by the group since its creation, proof of the growing ambition of this distinctive hotel player in the French market.

A new vision for the Cannes hotel industry

Although little has yet been revealed about the hotel’s future design, Chapitre Six is determined to offer a unique five-star experience in Cannes. Like its other establishments, the group claims to offer an “atmospheric” hotel experience, combining a singular narrative with contemporary standards. The very name of the group – Chapitre Six – evokes this idea of a continuous narrative, where each place is a story to be experienced, anchored in its territory but looking elsewhere.

With this address, Chapitre Six aims to reenchant the city’s hotel offer, often divided between standardized ultra-luxury and soulless accommodations. The aim is to inject emotion, style and a genuine cultural dimension into your stay in Cannes.

A band on the move

This is not the group’s first foray onto the Côte d’Azur. Chapitre Six already operates La Ponche in Saint-Tropez – a little jewel overlooking the port – as well as the highly sought-after Cap d’Antibes Beach Hôtel, which combines design, sea views and an insider’s address. Places that focus more on atmosphere than gilding.

And the expansion continues: a new hotel has been announced in Courchevel 1850, a reopening is in the pipeline in Megève, and above all, a long-awaited project around the rebirth of the Bus Palladium in Paris. Proof that Chapter Six succeeds in blending mythical destinations and projects with a strong identity.

What to expect at Cannes

With this move into the heart of the Riviera, Chapitre Six is making no secret of its ambitions: to offer a hybrid venue at the crossroads of genres, blending hospitality, culture, gastronomy and the art of living. Cannes, often associated with the postcard image of the Croisette, could thus welcome a hotel with a more sensitive, experimental and narrative style, which will also speak to new generations of travelers in search of meaning.

The planned renovation promises to be complete: architecture, decoration, services, catering… everything will be revamped to offer a fresh interpretation of French luxury.
