Hotel + open-air cinema: the ideal combo on the Paradiso rooftop

In Paris, some addresses don’t just provide accommodation: they offer a real experience. Le Paradiso is one of them. This unusual hotel has transformed its rooftop into an open-air projection room. The result? A unique combo: overnight stay + cult film + panoramic view of the capital.

A hotel-cinema: the Paradiso’s DNA

Born in 2021, Hôtel Paradiso is France’s first hotel-cinema, imagined by the founders of MK2 cinemas. Each room is equipped with a laser projector and integrated giant screen. The concept is clear: the film becomes the centerpiece of the stay.

But the real surprise is on the top floor: a confidential rooftop, adorned with greenery, antique furniture and soft cushions. This is where the open-air cinema experience takes place after dark, with a cutting-edge program mixing classics, indie nuggets, summer blockbusters and discreet previews.

The rooftop: more than a setting, a stage in its own right

Perched on the 7ᵉ floor, the Paradiso rooftop overlooks the rooftops of the 12ᵉ arrondissement, with the lights of Paris as a backdrop. The venue welcomes around twenty spectators per session, in a very private and relaxed spirit.

The team sets up deckchairs, plaids, headphones and tasty snacks, with room service available for those sleeping in. The atmosphere is intimate but never stuffy: a bit like a screening with friends, but with the cachet of a very well thought-out venue.

Programming with a difference

Every summer, Paradiso takes care of its selection. Films d’auteur, romantic comedies, cult thrillers and thematic cycles alternate. In 2025, for example, the program includes a tribute to Wong Kar-wai, a “feel good films” evening, and exclusive collaborations with the La Rochelle festival and MK2 teams.

The team posts the program every week, and spectators are quick to reserve their seats. We recommend you book online, with or without hotel accommodation, depending on your wishes. Even Parisians can access the rooftop without staying overnight.

Le Paradiso reinvents Parisian nightlife

At a time when Parisian rooftops are vying with each other in terms of concept, the Paradiso is all about well-executed simplicity: a film, a starry sky, and the chance to fall asleep right afterwards in a cocooned room. The hotel-cinema thus becomes an open-air cultural refuge, perfect for a date, an evening with friends or a timeless solo escape.
